Etch A Sketch
5" x 7"
I did this piece as a birthday gift for my then-fiance, Jana. We were living in Utah at the time, and I had only visited the entertainment capitol of the world once. Since it was, and still is, Jana's favorite city in the world, I decided to etch this one out for her. It is one of my earlier works.

I tried to incorporate as many elements of Las Vegas as I could into this collage. In the foreground is the Stratosphere, Vegas' tallest building. Behind it is the Bellagio and the famous dancing fountains. Behind that is the 17 story A.J. Hackett Bungee tower, which is one of the many reasons we ended up moving to Las Vegas. It unfortunately closed down right after we made the move. Further to the right is the Luxor, and behind it is the easily-recognizable "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign. Finally, I drew the New York New York, with the scale model of the Statue of Liberty and the roller coaster that loops around the hotel.
