When my dad told me he wanted to surpise my mother for Christmas with an Etch A Sketched portrait of her, I have to admit I was a little overwhelmed. If there's one person you're going to draw that you don't want to mess up, it's your mother.

It took me a couple of tries to get the proportions just right, but I am very pleased with the outcome. The twinkle in her eyes and her trademark smile were especially fun to draw.
